Whoa, watch out!

This site is a work in progress. Mind the dust and, please, keep out of the way.

Upstate Interactive

Our process is informal, fluid, and easy to grasp. Oh, and it works really well.

We listen to you. We think, plan, create, and show. Then we repeat.

Organize and Planning

The project is really kickin’ into gear now.

We will take some time (usually a day, but maybe more) to review all the input you've given us. We’ll review the sites you said you loved, and the sites you hate. We’ll check out your competition, as well as your market/industry in general. We’ll research any technical requirements and any potential snags. If needed, we’ll gather a list of candidates to work with on the project. All the while we’ll be taking notes and gathering questions. Once we’re ready, we’ll schedule a short meeting to go over everything with you. This meeting is where we solidify the concept, and trim the fat.

Sometimes this phase will lead to a change in scope, budget, and/or deadline. We try to learn as much about your project before we give you a price. However, sometimes things change: a new requirement is realized; a previously unknown complexity is discovered; a misunderstanding is cleared up; or you simply change your mind. These changes don’t always lead to price increases. We’ll work with you update any agreements, and move on to the next phase.

A quick note on meetings...

We hate meetings. They can be really long, pointless, and boring. Not to mention they’re often a huge waste of time—which also makes them expensive. Meetings are rarely necessary. When they are, we promise to keep them under an hour. Even better than a meeting? Sending an email; What many consider “meeting worthy” is usually better handled via email.
